What’s New This Week

for the week of November 13, 2015

FallIt’s time to put the pumpkins and costumes away and, in some people’s opinion, dust off the Christmas music and boughs of holly. Before we start rolling in eggnog and itching beneath ugly Christmas sweaters, let’s enjoy Fall before we hand it completely over to Winter and the holidays. And that, of course, enjoying a lot of fantastic live music and entertainment.

This week, our friends in the Raleigh/Durham area kick off Friday, November 13, with the ultimate Allman Brothers Tribute, Idlewild South, at Cat’s Cradle along with the group with an affinity for the spirit and style of Grateful Dead, Better Off Dead. Chatham County Line will be at The Ritz Raleigh and a Carolina Theatre Films feature of Godzilla vs. Destroyah is hosted by Carolina Theatre. Friday night in Charlotte consists of guitarist and songwriter Matthew Alexander at The Evening Muse; an evening of R&B with Dwele, John Dillard, Tony Lelo, Beverly Crowder and Jason Jett at Amos’ Southend; and some metal and rock at The Milestone with sludge metal duo Jucifer, The Seduction, HU/LK and Grande Nino.
