Four-piece hard rock outfit Alter Bridge (Alter Bridge Records/Napalm Records) made a stop at North Carolina’s Ritz Raleigh on Sunday, February 12 as part of The Last Hero tour.
Opening up for the hard rock titans is Nonpoint (Spinefarm Records) and Weapons of Anew (OK!Good Records).
Alter Bridge is currently supporting their fifth full-length album The Last Hero, which was released last October.
The quartet’s previous release garnered so much public appreciation that the daunting task of writing a new body of work would make even the most seasoned of musicians cower in their Doc Martens.
However, Alter Bridge took the task head on and arose from the studio with 13 gritty, dirty, bombastic songs, 4 of which make up their current setlist for The Last Hero tour.
This current run of shows, announced last November, marks the band’s first headlining tour of 2017.
Kicking off their 20-date tour in Mobile, AL, Alter Bridge will make their way through the US in just over a month’s time, hitting a major city around you.
To kick off each show, direct opener Nonpoint (Spinefarm Records) are taking the stage just before Alter Bridge in support of their ninth full-length album, The Poison Red, released last July.
The Florida quintet have seemed to figure out the formula for making a kick-ass record, and they want to be the soundtrack to the adventurer’s life.
According to the band’s statement about The Poison Red: “go live it and play this record while you do. It’ll all start to make sense.”
